Yesterday was Thanksgiving. I had a ton of fun eating lots of food like I always do at Thanksgiving. Yesterday morning before all of the food and fun, Elder Wells and I went to Walmart for a few last minute things. It was funny to walk around Walmart on Thanksgiving with all of the Christmas things out and Christmas music playing. Also as we drove around town, people already have put up their Christmas lights. It was amazing to see people already getting into Christmas before Thanksgiving was even past.
Sometimes in life we get ahead of ourselves, we look ahead at the next big thing and forget to give thanks. My encouragement is that we slow down a little and take things one day at a time. We need to remember where our blessings come from and thank to our Heavenly Father.
